Christmas crafting! Thinking about moving my craft blog over here to tumblr. This doesn’t look exactly like the tutorial that I got it from, so I’m gonna try it again, since I still have half of Everything’s Eventual left to use!

More short handed updates:
The first picture is of Indy on the morning that his stitches got taken out. He kicked and screamed but afterwards, Keith said that what I saw as just a shadow of what he was like on the day they put the stitches in. And what is up with ER doctors NOT washing their hands OR wearing gloves?! It was freaking me out. When we left the ER (since his ped. office wasn’t open on a Sunday), it was only 10 am but we’d promised the kid ice cream so we drove around to our favorite gelatto place which was still closed. He settled for some gummy bears at home and then we took him for ice cream after lunch.
The second picture is an Alphabet print I started working on for my sister in law Kayt who is around 23 weeks pregnant with a little girl! This is my 2nd draft and as you can see that I’m still not sure about what words to use for each character. Why was it so hard to think of words to go with letters? I elicited Keith for help and we kept saying things like, “T is for….Tidal Wave…T is for Tourniquet…T is for…” I know I’m not the best illustrator, but I like the way these all look, it’s going to end up painted on canvas.
I used to craft a lot (my craft blog) and this time of the year always makes me want to do a bunch of projects at once. I thought this was a great excuse and hopefully it turns out great. I’ve also got Indy’s Halloween costume to make, his bday party to plan and Christmas gifts to start on. It always happens just like that one right after the other. Exhausting but fun!

Starting with Day 1- A picture of yourself and 5 facts:
Facts:
1. Yes, this is a picture of me from BEFORE I was a mother. Look how happy I was. Ha! Just kidding, sort of.
2. I have a Bachelors of Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance and before I became a mom, I thought I had a major career on the operatic stage awaiting me.
3. I’m only 5 feet tall. So becoming a mom isn’t the only reason I didn’t end up on stage. Heredity is another.
4. I love crafting. In fact, I’m thinking of starting a business decorating for people’s special events. I’ve already done a few, and I have a blog where I (used to) document it all. My blog and potential business is called Here & There Crafts. I updated it today just in case anyone decides to click on that link.
5. I love make up and cosmetics, bath products, nail polish and shoes and I think that is one of the girliest things about me.
ugh. That was surprisingly hard.
