My darling niece and namesake Chloe Elise is 2 today! Already taking after her aunt- that’s melted chocolate on her hands!
Here’s the trio on Easter. Not interested in posing! From left to right: Chloe Elise, Indiana Matthew & Olivia Rose.

Indy’s bday. Opening his gifts. This was the best part of my weekend…and probably one of the highlights of my life so far.
Indiana is 3!
This video was taken during Thanksgiving dinner, his real birthday is today (Nov 27th) but like I said in a previous post, it was a bit too much this year to have Thanksgiving and then turn around and do a big party for Indy. As you can tell, he didn’t mind. We had such a great Thanksgiving weekend! Lots of family, lots of good food and our sweet boy is 3! I can’t believe how time flies. I never thought I could love another person as much as I love this child. He is amazing.
I’m not gonna lie. I had planned to throw yet another huge bday party for Indy as I have for the past 2 years…but we just can’t do it this year.
Despite getting a full time job, we can’t afford to throw a party and because of that same full time job, I no longer have time to sit for a full day and plan and hand make decorations and send out invites and etc. About 4 months ago, before we purchased a new car (another reason having a party is gonna be too expensive), I’ll admit I had huge plans for this year. They involved actually RENTING a mini-train to come out to my mom’s house and take all of the people who came to Indy’s party on a train ride around the block- complete with blankets and hot cocoa. That woulda been awesome! But Alas. I know it was probably gonna be overboard, but it was nice to dream!
So instead of doing a huge party, we’re actually just gonna do a cake and gifts at Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday. It’s gonna be easier than trying to get everyone together again. Then on his actual bday (Sunday, the 27th), we’ll just do a special breakfast and a day full of Indy things. He is so precious and honestly, at this age…they don’t care whether they have a party. He’s going to be showered with love just the same. I can’t believe he’ll be 3!
Today is my 29th bday. I started the day by brushing my teeth in the kitchen sink, a hearty breakfast of waffles with butter and sugar, chocolate soy milk and reading all of the bday greetings on my facebook wall. I spent another good 20 to 30 minutes looking at J.Crew’s online catalogue for little boys. Have you seen it? I’ve never drooled over so many clothes for Indy!
The rest of my day looks like this: Folding laundry, making lunch and then work from 5:30-10pm. My last day at Banana Republic, thank GOD!
Not saying I’m depressed or upset about how my bday is going, I just think that with age, your bday becomes less and less significant. It’s really just Thursday. Not to say that nobody is celebrating with me, Keith has some stuff planned for this weekend and I hear there’s a Carrot Cake!
I can’t pretend that turning 29 isn’t painful. I never thought I’d be that way, but saying goodbye to my 20s is really making me feel…old! Nevertheless, I’m going to make this the best year that I can!
