Mom Knowledge
My friend and future bro-in-law, Justin once got stung by a bee in college while hanging out in front of my and my roomie’s room. After he got stung, he ran to the lobby which was a few doors down from our room, where I was cowering, trying to avoid the swarm of bees. He threw open the door and said, “I JUST GOT STUNG BY A BEE!” For some reason, I knew exactly what to do. I...
Indy about a month ago…before he mastered both his serious dance moves and serious temper tantrums.

No Nap Indy.
Indy didn’t take a nap today, so to keep himself going, he just keeps throwing his body around. Earlier, he walked directly into the couch, which he bounced off of only to bounce into the wall. He has also been walking on the couch and on the bed a lot lately which makes me really nervous.
While I was trying to swat a few flies that got into the house, he took my square paddle brush and...

Me: -Link to Keith's anonymous blog- Keith reviews Beach Fossils
Sam: Cool, i haven't listened to beach fossils
Me: Me neither, i don't think.
Sam: I mean I have, but not enough to etc
Me: Haha, yeah...I like how you just gave up finishing that thought and just ended with "etc"
Sam: yeah, i just really didn't feel like etc...
ouch.
No real blog today because I was swimming in my own pool and got attacked by either hornets or wasps…some stinging insect that keeps its stinger once. in the arm and possibly twice in the head. it really huuuurrrrtssss!!!
In less painful news, Keith and I will celebrate our 6 year anniversary tomorrow.

Baby on Guard.
As Indy is definitely progressing in his Terrible Twosness, I am progressing in my impatience. I feel terrible to say this, but I feel like Indy is policing me around the house. I can never leave him alone anymore and the slightest thing will set him off. If I put down a cup of juice he still wanted to drink, he throws a fit. If I put a spoon in the dishwasher without asking for his help, he...
My child is my husband's son.
When Keith and I started dating, I noticed that he had very particular ways of eating certain things. For example, pretzels. First, he must have Rold Gold pretzel rods, no other brand will do. And second, he must have a glass of ICE MILK, yes, ice with milk. His method of eating them is thus: He first licks all of the salt off of the pretzels and puts them in a pile, once he gets all of the...
Falling.
Indy has been falling a lot lately. I’m not sure it’s because he’s throwing a lot more tantrums and because of those tantrums, he gets a lot more tired…but he’s been falling a whole lot.
This morning, He fell off of the bed and scraped his ear/side of his head on the corner of our box bed. Thankfully, it’s an Ikea bed, so not only is it quite low to the...
Bully Boy
I think my son thinks he’s a bully. We’ve been at my mom’s house all week, she runs a mini-daycare watching kids who are mostly Indy’s age to earn some extra cash. For some reason, Indiana doesn’t do very well around other kids. I don’t know if it’s because he doesn’t often hang out with other toddlers his age, or if it’s the Terrible Twos...
My Brother!
Not a post related to my most recent posts, but I have to brag!
My entire family is very musical. The genes, as far as I know, go back to my grandmother on my dad’s side who was amazing at the piano and used to teach music and lessons, my mother’s mom who used to sing Operatically. It passed down to us, mostly through my dad who plays a plethora of instruments and enrolled my older...

More on Coming Full Circle.
Keith and I were talking this morning during our car shuffle (I drop him off at work and then bring Indy over to my moms with me while I’m helping her with daycare) about Indy and college.
In my previous post, I mentioned the new job I have at Bayside High school which has been labeled inner-city. As one of their new teachers, I am somewhat obligated to encourage the students there to...
Full Circle.
One of my very best friends from college called me tonight and told me that she and her husband are expecting their first child. Although I haven’t seen her since my wedding (6 years ago on the 23rd of this month!), I couldn’t help but scream and squeal like a real girlfriend should at the news! I can’t believe she’s going to be a mom.
I sat in the backyard of the...
